Différence entre langue qui pique et glossodynie


Il est important de comprendre la différence avec la glossodynie. Quand on a la langue qui picote, c'est généralement passager, on arrive souvent à identifier ce qui l'a provoqué : un plat épicé, un aliment acide, une petite infection, une réaction allergique ou même une carence alimentaire.


En revanche, la glossodynie se manifeste par une sensation brûlante ou des douleurs, sans raison apparente, qui peuvent durer des mois. La glossodynie peut être liée à des facteurs neurologiques, hormonaux ou psychosomatiques. Dans ce cas, mieux vaut consulter un médecin ou un dentiste pour poser le bon diagnostic.

Les principales causes d’une langue qui pique

Ce qu'on mange joue souvent un rôle clé, et voici les principaux irritants à surveiller :

  • Les plats très épicés,

  • Les agrumes et leurs jus,

  • L'ananas et le kiwi frais,

  • L'alcool,

  • Les boissons brûlantes,

  • Certains additifs alimentaires.


Une gorgée de café trop chaude ou s'être mordu par inadvertance peuvent aussi provoquer des picotements qui persistent pendant quelques heures.
