Many of you asked for them, and they're finally here! After rigorous trials, the MyVariations interdental brushes are finally here! 🙌
Dentists have made it clear: when used with dental floss, these small brushes are a necessary tool for removing plaque from narrow spaces (between your teeth for example) which are more difficult to get to with your toothbrush.
Choose from 3 sizes, or order the Multi Pack bundle to try each size and see which ones suit you best!
To top it all off, we chose to make them with a bamboo handle which is more durable, lightweight, and easy to manoeuvre.
Too many people think that just brushing their teeth is enough to completely remove all plaque. 👌
Wrong! No matter which toothbrush you use, it won't always reach the last bits of food and plaque lodged in the spaces between your teeth.
Lingering plaque can not only turn into tartar, but also have negative consequences, such as bad breath, cavities, etc.
Plaque can form bacteria which weakens gums, risking bleeding, chronic gingivitis, or periodontitis.
That's why it's super important to be well equipped to remove all the plaque between your teeth!
Because no one has the same teeth, nor the same space between them, we offer 3 different size brushes in varying lengths. 😉
If you already use interdental brushes, you probably know which size is right for you. We offer the following sizes:
- Small : 4x0.4mm & 4x0.5mm
- Medium : 4x0.5mm & 4x0.6mm
- Large : 4x0.6mm & 4x0.7mm
Because everyone's interdental spaces are different sizes, each pack includes 4 brush heads in 2 different sizes.
If you are new to interdental brushing and have never used interdental brushes before, try our Multi Pack which contains 2 brushes of each size. It helps you find the brush(es) best suited to you.
Here are the essential rules to know before starting with your interdental brush ✏️:
Dentists recommend using interdental brushes after brushing your teeth, ideally in the evening. However, you can use them more frequently if you wish.
Replace your brushes once a week on average: a pack of 8 interdental brushes lasts about 2 months.
If your interdental spaces are very narrow, the brushes may not be suitable. In that case, opt for dental floss (which we will soon offer in our range 😋!)
In order to determine the brush size that suits you, you can first buy a Multi Pack which contains 2x the 4 different sizes (8 brushes in total). Then, start with the smallest size brush (without forcing it) to see if it goes in easily. Repeat this process until you find the size that suits you best.
Yes, it's completely normal to bleed a little, especially if it is your first time. Don't worry, your gums are simply not used to being cleaned in these areas. The bleeding will stop quickly, after around ten uses. Bleeding over time can also be a sign of gingivitis (inflammation of the gums).
Dentists generally recommend changing your interdental brushes every 7 days. If they are twisted or you can see wear on the bristles, you should change them.
The brushes can be single use, if you prefer.
Yes! In fact, dentists strongly recommend it. Bacteria from plaque are responsible for these problems, so using brushes to get rid of the plaque completely can only do you good. You'll quickly notice a difference!
Flossing is generally recommended for people with narrower interdental spaces and/or overlapping teeth. The spaces between the teeth are then even more difficult to access.
Brushes are designed for people with normal or slightly wider interdental spaces. They guarantee complete elimination of plaque lodged there.
Dental professionals generally recommend using them after brushing in the evening to be sure that teeth are completely clean before bed.
You can use interdental brushes after each toothbrushing, i.e. 2 to 3 times a day, if you want to.
Yes! There's no reason not to, as long as you don't force them between spaces.
